Right…so really I don’t give a shit about Christmas…I honestly don’t care about its religious significance nor do I really care for presents.
But my family and I managed to get away from technology and headed to the beach at Castlepoint for a few days of R&R.
And to be honest I rather enjoyed it…although I really did only spend 1.5 days there and the weather wasn’t entirely great. Me, my brother Simon, my sister Rachel, our dog Shadow and my parents decided that seeing as none of us have the same hobbies we might as well stick ourselves in a tiny wee house and spend 2 days throwing shit at each other.
Instead however we just lazed around playing cards (which got pretty intense) and drunk Sherry…well I drunk the Sherry :D
We also managed to catch a few Kahawai in the lagoon during late evening fishing outings which were hilarious good fun because the fish were biting so much and we managed to play a bastardised version of bat down using a kids baseball bat and tennis ball…cept we played in high winds, so getting anyone out was almost impossible.
So now I’m back…where I belong, in front of my PC screen getting on with daily life…but occasionally I do enjoy the outdoors as I did when I was once a kid…although I hate beaches…and I hate people…and Castlepoint was both a beach and had heaps of people.
Ugh.
Highlight was when I threw on a singlet and my entire family was like: “HOLY SHIT! YOU’RE WEARING A SINGLET!”…well they looked like they were gonna say it.
